2014 Yakima Valley
100% Grenache. Angiolina Farms Vineyard.
The Yakima Valley is the newest single vineyard wine in our lineup for the 2014 vintage. Angiolina Farms was part of the Columbia Valley blend in 2013, but in 2014 it stood out enough to warrant being bottled on its own.
Tasting Notes: The most feminine of our cuvees, the elegant aromas of this wine are dominated by floral notes and dark red fruit, which leads to a palate brimming with bing cherry, cedar, vanilla, and baking space. The overall experience leaves you with a nicely focused path through the palate, edged with velvety tannins and a hint of dark chocolate on the finish.

Review of Washington Wines, 19+/20 points
From the Angolina Farms Vineyard, this shows a brick red color and intriguing aromas of wild strawberries, cranberry bog, red currants, bayberry, crushed red roses, tobacco leaf, orange peel, lavender and spiced oriental incense. The flavors are mouth filling, with layers of red fruits that are infused with red licorice, cocoa powder, French roast and alluvial minerals. The wine invigorates on the back with sensations of macerated berries, toasted pecans, mocha, recurring orange peel and ground charcoal, and then turns velvety with lanolin (“legs”) and smooth tannins on the long, savory finish.
