Inaugural Release: 2012 Columbia Valley
100% Grenache
50% Upland Vineyard | 50% Alder Ridge
Our very first bottling, the 2012 Columbia Valley Grenache combines 2 different vineyards to really showcase the type of Grenache that we will strive to make with Ocelli Cellars. It combines the red fruit-driven characteristics of Upland Vineyard with the structure and darker fruit profile of Alder Ridge Vineyard.
Tasting notes: This generous wine jumps out of the glass with decadent aromas of warm maple syrup, amarena cherry, and hints of clove. On the palate, this Grenache delivers layers of rich flavor--raspberry, dark chocolate ganache, juicy plum--followed by a savory component reminiscent of peppered dried meat. The savory elements linger through the finish, along with hints of chocolate cordial and orange liqueur.

This is the inaugural release from this winery, which dedicates itself to the production of Grenache. A blend of fruit from Alder Ridge and Upland vineyards, it brings aromas of red plum, herb and spice that are followed by elegant, mouthwatering red-fruit flavors. It shows the variety's more delicate side.
